Hello simone
I do not think this reel is a prototype but a version produced for a limited sale outside France.
If I remember correctly, I think I saw blue-colored 204 (206 ....) reels on sale in Italy. I don't own one.
Best regards,
CL

Re: mitchell 320 bail trip issue
Hello, Looking at the photo, I have the impression that the PU is not fully depressed because we can see the sprires of the spring. Are you sure the spring is properly mounted? The part of the PU seems correct to me, it is not straight from the origin Is this an old version or a new PU? When I have ...

Mitchell "For the young! For the Holidays"
In this post, I would like to show that the Mitchell production was not only made for seasoned fishermen who love beautiful mechanics and that Mitchell also produces reels for young fishermen and also occasional fishermen. For example the simplest and cheapest reel produced by a factory capable of a...

Re: Reels M34 (Arca Balzer) - Prisu4 without serial number
Hello Chris, I am not Mitchell's biggest collector but one of the collectors who own a wide variety of reels, from the most humble (often despised) to some very rare. I have practically all the Galion reels, reels made by Mitchell for young anglers, also the low end reels G32, Prisu 32, very low pri...

Reels M34 (Arca Balzer) - Prisu4 without serial number
The reels of this series, identical to the Mitchell 340, do not have an SN while the 340 have an SN engraved on the foot. I have the M34 in its box which it has, like many Mitchell of this time, a label stuck under the box with the SN. # 3116934. This SN is close to that of the 340. I wonder why the...

Re: PAGE34 e PAGE ROD
Hello, Just a few remarks on this reel. I know someone who has it (not me!). Listed on Ebay a few years ago with rods but no reels by a Swiss seller, the final price was way too high for me The name "page" was used for the first version of the 320 (see photos of a boxed page with warranty ...

Re: Old cap version e Mitchell spinning analisi fusioni
Hello Glen and Ted, This reel was considered as a prototype by specialists at the beginning, but after a few reels were found and then considered as a reel manufactured in very small series. I have no documentation and no box. I've had it for a good fifteen years, but I don't know when it was made. ...

Re: Mitchell Reel History
Hello Wallace, Vast subject for which I am one of the people who have no opinion on the different theories. In France, Mitchell documents for this period are virtually impossible to find. Even fishery journals from this period do not mention Mitchell. The first document that I found is from June 194...
