Hello Mates,

Every once in a while, something new or unknown in Mitchell comes to light. Mr. Luc de Medts who owns and runs the first website dedicated to all things Mitchell; Mitchell Reel Collectors International ( http://users.skynet.be/mitchell-collectors.org/ ), will soon be selling some very rare reels on eBay.

We've bought several reels from Luc over the years including the one you see at the top of all our pages many years ago, a magnificent 100% authentic Mitchell 1st version that he had restored. My trust and respect for this man and his knowledge can not be overstated!

We've all seen the clear plastic Mitchell reels that are not factory originals but here's one that is. Purchased from a Mitchell salesman by Luc about 25 years ago, we believe this may be one of the rarest salesman / display samples Mitchell ever made.

I've asked for better high resolution pictures to place in our Museum, but for now:

To you as well Scott and Thanks ;)

Do you or anyone else know Luc's eBay ID? I had it on eBay's watch favorites for a long time but somehow, it's gone!

Best Wishes,
Wallace

Hi Wallace,

Well that was also going to be my question to you? Hopefully Dries will see our conversation and be able to provide it to the forum. Cheers

Lucky Luke is a classic Western Comic series in France. Also popular in Quebec. I read a lot of them when I was learning French while in the Canadian military. The books were a bit stereotypical of the American West, in a tongue in cheek way.

Greetings Jan,
Welcome to the Mitchell Reel Museum.
You may be successful posting pictures if you make sure that the size of your picture is no larger than 850 pixels. That will allow the "Upload Attachment" to work correctly.

Regards,
Ted Lanham

Thank you Ted
Going to try again...
I am collector from Czech republic, so I prefer old czech reels + ABU sweden.. Mitchell is not in my favourite mark, but every collector has his own dream. Me too. I prefer to sold this Mitchell to Mitchell collector.. Before to try Ebay..
Regards
