Hi Mates,

I received this impeccable Garcia Mitchell 305 this afternoon. Original box, paperwork and not a mark on the reel.

I'm not sure why I've had such a difficult time finding one of these but this model/version has eluded me for years :sCh_taz: ...…Not anymore :sHa_clap2: . It's Ser # 2712288 which I place around 1969 - It's perfect.

The round body collection is coming along quite nicely.

Including K Kits, X Boxes and User Reels --- Just over 100 Round Body's. :sHa_rollingsmilie: Oh, I must add that none of the hanging round bodies are duplicates :sFi_flamethrower:

Kind Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris, beautiful addition to your round body collection. The serial number on your 305 is close to my 304 round body on page 11 of Mitchell Reel Talk--only 4721 apart. Does your 305 box have the serial number on the bottom? Congrats on the nice find.
Best wishes, Dennis2149

Hi Mates,

Thank you all of the comments.

Sandman, I too am surprised that this reel has eluded me all these years. I have seen a few GM 305's but never one in the late GM 305 box or as nice as this one.

Dennis, the first 3 digits of the box Ser # match but not the last 4. Based on the condition of this reel, all of the paperwork in the box - Possible dealer mix-up with the reels to the boxes??

James, Please do share photos of your CAP collection!! I, as well as most of the other Mates, I'm sure, would love to see it.

Kind Regards,
Chris
