Those are neat! I've looked for years to find some for sale - guess in all the wrong places. I've seen some in smaller yellow packages. What year do you think these were made?

Congrats seatroller.
Nice find. I've found that it's very hard to find these swivels. In fact, I bought a crappy 300 kit just to get a couple packs of them. :sAng_banghead2:
I agree with them being 3rd versions.
I've been looking for the yellow packs, but no luck yet.

I think late 60's early 70's packaging.
Have only found one package in the yellow unopened.
Tough to find!!

Excellent find seatroller!!!

As I recall we had a discussion on the Lure Lock swivels and packaging a while ago - May be worth a look. Those are very hard to find in any style package :sHa_okay:

Regards,
Chris

I think, I initiated the previous discussion.
Been looking for these for awhile. Felt "really lucky" to find them.
Tough to find any of these packages.

Received today.
12 bags #9252
All of the snaps are the same size and only 8 per bag.
Do you think these are correct?
Number count should be 12 or 6 from everything I have read.

1962 Ad for reel kit actually says 8 lure lock swivels included, not 6 or 12, like earlier ads that said dozen.
Would assume later packaging with 8 swivels is correct also.
Heat sealed pak with 8 swivels from 1964 kit

That's some dedicated collecting! I only have loose ones that came attached to Reflex or Hi-Fi spinners.

But, I do have Garcia catalogs. Here is some content, if it helps. I didn't see Lure-Locks in the 1974 Annual or thereafter, so 1973 may have been the last.

Not to neglect mentioning another thread with info/images:

The mother of all Lure-Lock packaging. Present in 1957-61 Trade Catalogs, and possibly earlier and 1 year later (as I don't have those Trades).
