Hello Mates,

I recently received this Mitchell 300 with the box from Fenwicks in Wolverhampton, UK. Research has shown that Fenwicks has several sporting goods stores in England but I can't find much more than that.

I'm not sure if this was an order or a repair for a Mr. Langford as indicated on the box. There was no paperwork included with the box and reel. Also I'm not familiar with the European postal markings or Tel: numbers which may narrow down a date that this order/repair was conducted. The reel Ser# is 1558862 which dates the reel to around 1957. If any Mate can provide any additional information/insight, it would be appreciated. A pretty neat addition to the collection regardless :tup

Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Before I give my opinion, please look at the serial number again and see if there's another digit. I'm sure there is, so look close!

Best Regards, Wallace :sFun_oldguy:
